CYBERABAD POLICE RESCUE 664 CHILDREN DURING OPERATION MUSKAAN-XII

Hyderabad, Aug.1 (RAHNUMA): The Cyberabad Police rescued 664 children during Operation Muskaan-XII, a month-long drive conducted in July 2026 to trace missing children and rescue minors from child labour, begging and rag-picking.

Seven special teams comprising Sub-Inspectors, police personnel and women constables carried out inspections across industries, shops and commercial establishments while conducting dedicated drives against child begging. The rescued children’s details were uploaded on the DARPAN portal.

Among those rescued were 155 children from Telangana, including 152 boys and three girls, while 468 children belonged to other states, comprising 451 boys and 17 girls.

Police registered 125 cases under provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Juvenile Justice Act and Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Amendment Act, 2016. Additionally, photographs of children involved in 108 missing cases were uploaded to the DARPAN App to facilitate tracing and rehabilitation.

Cyberabad Police said the operation reflects its continued commitment towards protecting vulnerable children and preventing child exploitation.
