Hyderabad, May 5 (RAHNUMA): In a significant step towards inclusive education, DEEP Trust has launched its flagship initiative “Happy Wheels”, aimed at improving transportation access for children with special needs.
As part of the initiative, the Trust will donate an 18-seater TATA Winger school transport vehicle to Sri Vidhyas Centre for Special Children at a function scheduled on May 6 at Mahindra Hills, Secunderabad, with support from Hexagon AB. The initiative seeks to address transportation challenges, ensuring safe school access, improving attendance, and easing the burden on families.
Founder & Trustee Dr Rakesh Kalapala emphasized that access to education should never be limited by logistical barriers. Co-founder Dr Madhu Vasepalli highlighted that removing such barriers unlocks the true potential of children.
CEO Swati Mohanty called the initiative a step toward building a more inclusive society and urged corporates and philanthropists to support similar efforts across the country.
The Trust noted that many children in India still face challenges due to lack of transportation and accessibility infrastructure, calling for collective action to bridge this gap.
Calling for wider support, the Trust urged corporates and philanthropists to step forward in strengthening accessibility for special children across India.
