
Hyderabad, July 1 (RAHNUMA): Smart City Research Centre (SCRC) at International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIIT, Hyderabad) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BuildIQ Technologies LLP, marking the beginning of a collaborative journey to develop innovative, sustainable, and technology-driven solutions for smart infrastructure.
This partnership brings together IIIT Hyderabad’s research excellence and BuildIQ’s industry expertise to bridge the gap between cutting-edge research and real-world implementation. The collaboration will focus on research, technology development, commercialization, and skill development in the areas of Smart Cities, Smart Campuses, Smart Buildings, Integrated Building Management Systems (IBMS), and sustainable infrastructure. Further, it will focus on smart campuses, intelligent buildings, IoT-based management systems, Net Zero technologies and sustainable urban development. The collaboration also aims to commercialise the City IoT Operating Platform (ctOP) while promoting research, innovation and industry-ready skill development.
The MoU establishes a strong framework for jointly designing, developing, deploying, and commercializing intelligent digital solutions that improve the efficiency, sustainability, and resilience of modern infrastructure. It marks the beginning of a long-term partnership dedicated to fostering innovation, accelerating technology adoption, and building smarter, greener, and more sustainable infrastructure. Together, IIIT Hyderabad and BuildIQ Technologies look forward to transforming research into impactful solutions that contribute to the future of intelligent cities and connected communities.
