Kcr Is A Fighter: Ktr

Karimnagar, Nov.29 (NSS): BRS party working president KT Rama Rao today said KCR was a fighter and not merely a name. He said KCR started the movement with the sacrifice of his office. KTR made it clear that KCR was the only leader who had achieved the State at the cost of his life. KTR addressed a public meeting at Algunur in Karimnagar on the occasion of Deeksha Diwas.

Speaking on the occasion, KTR said Karimnagar was the land that gave birth to a party called Telangana Rashtra Samithi. “KCR was introduced to the country through the Simha Garjana in Karimnagar. The people of Telangana have shown how strong the Telangana argument is by giving a majority of 2 lakh votes in the Lok Sabha elections. When the BRS was defeated in the 2009 elections, many people spoke in a derogatory manner. Telangana was  no longer there, he recalled . He said that KCR shouted ‘Telangana Jaithrayatra’ and went ahead in the seperate state movement. “I salute such a Karimnagar land and the child of Karimnagar. I don’t know if Telangana would have been achieved without the fighting spirit of the people of Karimnagar,” he said.

KTR reminded that Friday was the 15th anniversary of KCR’s fast unto death program . “If we want to know where we want to go.. KCR always says that he wants to know where he started. During the movement, KCR exploded like a bullet in every word. He said that Telangana will be achieved only through political platforms. At that time, our state, which was a separate state of Hyderabad for 8 years, was forcibly merged with Andhra Pradesh. WhenTelangana was merged with Andhra, an innocent girl. The then Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru had said in Nizamabad that this was the wedding of a cheerful boy. It’s okay if this relationship is good.. Otherwise, they may part ways at any time, KTR recalled.

He alleged that It was this Congress party that did injustice to the region by merging Telangana with Andhra. “The first phase of the movement was started in 1969 by the people of Telangana, who were shaken by the injustices done from 1956 to 1969. Until 1971, the movement went on wonderfully. The Praja Samithi party then won 11 of the 14 parliamentary seats. The people of Telangana have realised the spirit of a separate state. 371 people were killed in the struggle. However, the Congress party ignored the aspirations of Telangana. However, Prof. Jayashankar, R. Vidyasagar Rao, intellectuals, poets and artists have spread the Telangana argument that there will never be any leader of the movement,” he reminded.
