Hyderabad, Dec.5 (NSS): BRS party leader RS Praveen Kumar has made harsh comments against the Congress government in the State and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
Speaking to the media persons at Telangana Bhavan on Thursday, he claimed that their party MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy has threat to his life. He alleged that CM Revanth Reddy was tapping the phones of several BRS party leaders along with the phones of State Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy while claiming that there is a terrible situation in Telangana State now. He alleged that the police, who are supposed to protect constitutional rights, were following the orders of CM Revanth Reddy and added that cases were being registered only after receiving orders from the Gandhi Bhavan.
RS Praveen Kumar alleged that CM Revanth Reddy’s brothers were becoming extra-constitutional forces in the State and added that illegal cases were being filed against the BRS party leaders from Adilabad to Alampur and from Kodangal to Kodad. He said it was painful to see Revanth Reddy, who was jailed in the cash-for-vote case, in the seat of CM and the State Home Minister. “This is the misfortune of the people of Telangana. Harish Rao, who is fighting on behalf of the people and farmers, is being slapped with illegal cases,” he said. He also said the arrests were being made as soon as Harish Rao announced that the ruling Congress party would be wiped out during the assembly session to be held from December 9.
He said the case against MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy was ridiculous. “Kaushik Reddy had told me many times that there was a threat to his life. He said MLA Arikepudi Gandhi’s followers would kill him. Kaushik Reddy is being harassed in many ways. The police did not take up the complaint Kaushik Reddy regarding a phone tapping issue. It was outrageous that he had been arrested by the same police,” he said.
