Musi river project meant to loot public money, asserts KTR

Hyderabad, Oct.2 (NSS): Referring to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s decision of Musi River Beautification project, BRS party working president KT Rama Rao today called it as Musi looting project. He said the DPR of the project was not meant for the Musi beautification and alleged that there was also no project report.

KTR had a chitchat with the media at Telangana Bhavan and made these remarks. Speaking on the occasion, he wondered from where did   the money for the Musi project come from?  “I will give a power point presentation on Musi in two to three days,” he said and claimed that there seems to be no reconciliation between the CM and his ministers on the issue of the Musi. “Sreedhar Babu says no one has said lakhs of crores of rupees will be given for the Musi project while other ministers are talking differently about the project,” he alleged.

KTR criticized that the CM was incapable of expanding his cabinet. He alleged that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi  had given permission to the Musi project for money bags. “It is Rahul Gandhi, who is running the Hydra. Rahul is driving a bulldozer into the houses of the poor from behind. Rahul Gandhi took up the Musi project just for the sake of money. Where is Rahul when people are suffering with the bulldozer government? I will soon reveal to which contractor the Musi project will be awarded. The Congress needs bundles of notes. But what about the victims,” KTR asked.

He claimed that Congress leaders Jagga Reddy and Madhu Yashki were opposed to Hydra and added there was an understanding between the BJP and the Congress on the issue. “That’s why the BJP was not talking about the IT raids on Ponguleti’s house. We are going to LB Nagar on Thursday for the Musi victims. If the Congress asks us to do it, we will do what they have to do. We also have to take care of our self-defence,” KTR said.

He said the Telangana society was watching the way the government was behaving towards the poor. “Why is the Chief Minister keeping silent and avoiding it,” he asked. He said Revanth went to Delhi 23 times and did not bring even 23 paise and added that Khammam flood victims had also been cheated. “When the Kaleswaram project started, KCR made a presentation in the assembly for three hours. There is not even a three-minute talk on the Musi beautification project now,” he said, adding there was no revenue to be returned to the government with the beautification of Musi river.

KTR paid tributes to Mahatma Gandhi’s portrait at the BRS party office on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi. He later said Mahatma Gandhi was a great man who awakened not only the Indian nation but also the world with his Satyagraha. “Mahatma Gandhi was a great man who inspired millions of people around the world and inspired leaders like Martin Luther King in America and Nelson Mandela in South Africa. The Revanth Reddy government needs to be reminded of Gandhi’s words. There is no need to be harsh towards the weak in the society.

The government is behaving inhumanly. This aspect needs to be reconsidered. The people were suffering from the State government. The labourers brought in by the State government to demolish the houses also went back by saying that the houses could not be demolished. The people have won the Congress to do constructive work, but not to create havoc. The Congress government has been cruel and inhuman towards the most backward sections of the society. The present Gandhis in Delhi should react to the inhuman rule of this government. The evil attempts to destroy houses without DPR should be stopped,” he said.
