Hyderabad, June 27 (RAHNUMA): South Central Railway general manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Ultratech Cement Siding at Malkhaid railway station on Saturday, focusing on freight operations, infrastructure and future expansion plans. He was accompanied by K. Padmaja, Principal Chief Operations Manager, SCR; Dr. R. Gopalakrishnan, Divisional Railway Manager, Secunderabad Division and other senior officials throughout the inspection.
The visit began with a track inspection from Secunderabad to Tandur aboard a Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)-equipped coach, which uses advanced electromagnetic technology to assess track conditions without disrupting train services.
At Malkhaid, the General Manager reviewed freight handling facilities, loading infrastructure and train monitoring systems at the siding’s Central Control Room. He also witnessed demonstrations of modern technologies being deployed to improve operational efficiency.
During a meeting with Ultratech officials, discussions were held on future development initiatives and innovative tools aimed at boosting freight movement. Srivastava also received representations from local residents and stakeholders seeking improvements in railway services in the region.
