Hyderabad, June 13 (RAHNUMA): Telangana’s senior swimming team is all set to compete in the 79th Senior National Aquatic Championship scheduled from June 16 to 21 at the Veer Savarkar Sports Complex in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
The team was selected through trials conducted during the 11th Telangana Senior Inter-District Swimming Championship held at the GHMC Swimming Pool in Amberpet on May 24. Suhas Preetham Mailari has been named captain of the state team.
Uniform kits sponsored by 7Seas Entertainment Limited were distributed to swimmers, coaches and officials at the Gachibowli Aquatic Stadium on Saturday. Telangana Swimming Association President P. Chandrasekhar Reddy, General Secretary G. Umesh, 7Seas Entertainment MD L.M. Shankar, Team Manager T. Kiran Kumar and Coach Ayush Yadav attended the event.
Officials expressed confidence in the team’s performance at the national championship.
