TPCC issues notices to Shabbir Ali over viral audio clips

Hyderabad, June 13 (RAHNUMA): The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) is taking the alleged viral remarks by former minister and government advisor Shabbir Ali very seriously.

These statements, purportedly made by Shabbir Ali, accuse the Congress party of becoming transactional, suggesting that party positions are now acquired through financial means.

Furthermore, the party’s central leadership is reportedly considering disciplinary action against Shabbir Ali due to allegations that his comments also included disparaging remarks about women.

The TPCC, which had earlier issued notices to party leader Chandrashekhar Reddy in connection with a dispute involving Shabbir Ali, has now also served notices to Shabbir Ali.

Responding to the controversy, TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud said there is no need to react hastily to Shabbir Ali’s allegations. The people of Nizamabad are well aware of my assets and my character, he said.

Mahesh Kumar Goud also highlighted that Shabbir Ali was instrumental in Chandrashekhar Reddy’s induction into the party, with Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy present.

He remarked that it was inappropriate for Shabbir Ali, after being in politics for so long, to make such statements. He termed it unfortunate that Shabbir Ali had spoken against women in a derogatory manner. The TPCC chief further clarified that the audio clip that has gone viral was recorded approximately a year ago and has only recently come to light.

Meanwhile, differences have reportedly emerged between Mahesh Kumar Goud and Shabbir Ali, making it a matter of interest as to how the issue will unfold further.
