
Hyderabad, June 4 (RAHNUMA): The University of Hyderabad has secured 4th rank nationally among Central Universities in the International Institutional Ranking Framework (IIRF) India Rankings 2026, reaffirming its status as one of India’s leading higher education institutions.
The university also retained its distinction as the No.1 Central University in Telangana.
The rankings assessed institutions across various parameters, including academic excellence, research output, employability, international outlook, inclusivity, institutional development and transparency.
Reacting to the achievement, Prof. J. Anuradha, I/C vice-chancellor, attributed the success to the collective efforts of faculty, researchers, students and staff. She said the ranking reflects the university’s strengths in interdisciplinary research, academic excellence, industry engagement and global collaborations. As an Institution of Eminence, the University of Hyderabad plans to further enhance its infrastructure, digital capabilities and international partnerships, she added.
