
Hyderabad, Sept.17 (NSS): Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar today said the Narendra Modi government at the Centre had implemented several revolutionary decisions within 100 days of coming to power for the third time. In addition to the promises made, he said they had taken up many initiatives for the welfare of the people and added that steps were being taken to double the income of farmers.
“We have allocated Rs 3 lakh crore for women, Rs 2 lakh crore for minimum support price and Mudra’s loan limit has been increased. We have set a target of constructing three crore houses at a cost of Rs 5.36 lakh crore. An additional 75,000 medical seats have been sanctioned. Rs 11,11,000 crore has been allocated for infrastructure development under capital expenditure. Customs charges on gold, silver and platinum have been reduced.” he said.
He also said it had been nine months since the Congress came to power and wondered as to why it had not been able to implement even six guarantees? “You have to answer on the promises made during your nine-month rule and added that people would not forgive the Congress party.
Speaking to media persons along with the party’s State leaders at the BJP State office today, Bandi Sanjay said for 100 days, Modi explained the steps being taken for the uplift of all sections of the society, including farmers, youth and women. “As part of the youth uplift, we have announced a package of Rs 2 lakh crore to benefit four crore 10 lakh youth. We have planned to upgrade 1,000 ITIs and provide skill training to 20 lakh youth and provide employment and employment,” he said.
He said as part of social welfare, a plan was being implemented to change the economic status of five crore STs of 63,000 Adivasi and tribal hamlets in the country and added that Ayushman Bharat scheme had been expanded to provide health coverage of up to Rs 5 lakh per annum to senior citizens and benefit six crore people. He said Customs Duty on gold and silver had been reduced to six per cent and platinum to 6.4 per cent.
“For infrastructure and connectivity, ₹ three lakh crore worth of infrastructure projects have been designed. It is mentioned that eight National High Speed Road Corridors are going to be set up with Rs 50,600 crore,” he said. He also said three new criminal laws were being introduced with a focus on justice and added that the Public Examinations Act was being implemented to prevent paper leaks.
