
Hyderabad, Sept.18 (NSS): The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy stands as the country’s foremost institution for police training, dedicated to cultivating Indian Police Service officers from induction onwards and providing ongoing professional development through diverse courses and seminars. Last year, the 76RR batch embarked on their training journey with 219 officer trainees, including 19 international officers. From among IPS officers, 12 officers got selected to join the Indian Administrative Service.
The upcoming DIKSHANT PARADE on Friday will have 207 officer trainees, comprising 188 IPS officers and 19 foreign officers from Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives, and Mauritius, with a notable 58 lady officers among them. Their comprehensive training program encompasses: Foundation Course –15 weeks at LBS NAA Mussoorie; Phase-I of Basic Course –49 weeks at SVP NPA Hyderabad, including Delhi & other Attachments; District Practical Training – 29 weeks at respective Cadres and Phase-II of Basic Course – nine weeks at SVP NPA Hyderabad.
Having completed their Foundation Course at Lal Bahadur Shastri Academy of Administration, the 76RR batch joined SVP National Police Academy on November 13, 2023. They have since undergone 45 weeks of Phase-I Training and will proceed to Delhi for attachments/visits with to Central Police Organizations, Central Armed Police Forces, and CRPF/Army, followed by District Practical Training for 29 weeks. Upon completion, they will return to the academy for the final 9-week phase of their training, commencing on May 26, 2025. Throughout their training, officer trainees receive instruction in a wide range of indoor and outdoor subjects, as well as participate in various attachments to enhance their skills and knowledge. As part of Basic Course training, inputs are provided in the following indoor subjects, outdoor subjects and various attachments.
