
Hyderabad, May 2 (RAHNUMA): Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has confirmed that the state government will allocate ₹6,000 crore for employee retirement benefits within a span of 100 days.
During a meeting held on Saturday with representatives from the Telangana Employees’ Associations JAC and the Telangana Employees’ Joint Staff Council, the Chief Minister was joined by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, as well as MPs Vem Narender Reddy and Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, along with leaders of the employee associations.
In the meeting, Revanth Reddy addressed four critical issues raised by the employee unions and instructed the committee of officials to promptly submit a report concerning the Pay Revision Commission (PRC).
The Chief Minister mentioned that decisions regarding the PRC would be based on the report.
He also announced that health security cards for employees would be distributed by June 1.
Revanth Reddy emphasised that recognised unions should convene every two months and present updates to the government regarding any matters of concern.
He remarked, “This government is supportive, and it is our duty to resolve the issues faced by employees.”
Highlighting the government’s efforts, the Chief Minister noted that measures have been implemented to ensure employees receive their salaries on the first day of each month. Additionally, he stated that the government has facilitated fair and independent elections for employee unions.
He further explained that employee transfers were conducted in an organised manner to prevent any confusion or disorder, ensuring that the long-overdue transfers of teachers were executed without disputes or controversies.
The Chief Minister also reflected on the fact that over the last two years, the ‘People’s government’ has recruited 67,760 employees in Telangana.
Following the Chief Minister’s positive response and commitment to address their demands, Maram Jagadeesh, Chairman of the Employees’ JAC, and Lachireddy, Chairman of the TGEJAC, expressed their satisfaction and announced the cancellation of all planned protest activities, including a demonstration scheduled for May 5.
On the occasion, the employee unions expressed their appreciation to the Chief Minister for his clarity on their requests.
