Hyderabad, June 13 (RAHNUMA): Heavy rainfall on Saturday significantly impacted flight schedules at Shamshabad Airport, leading to disruptions. Authorities were compelled to reroute a number of flights due to the inclement weather. Specifically, arrivals from Mumbai, Delhi, Varanasi, Bengaluru, and Singapore experienced delays or changes in routing.
Airport officials explained that poor landing conditions at Shamshabad made it temporarily unsafe to permit landings, resulting in some flights being denied clearance. This situation has caused considerable inconvenience for passengers.
Adding to the weather-related travel issues, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s journey from Delhi to Hyderabad on Friday was rerouted to Bengaluru due to the adverse weather. Consequently, the Chief Minister had to spend the night in Bengaluru before continuing his journey to Hyderabad on Saturday.
