PRADHANAMANTRI SANGRAHALAYA” TO PRESERVE LEGACY OF ALL PRIME MINISTERS: NV SUBHASH

New Delhi, June 27 (RAHNUMA): Telangana BJP Chief Spokesperson and Media In-charge NV Subhash on Saturday said the newly inaugurated “Pradhanamantri Sangrahalaya” library will serve as a unique repository documenting the contributions of every Prime Minister who has led independent India.

Speaking after inaugurating the library on the occasion of 105th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao, Subhash said the initiative aims to preserve the achievements and legacy of all Prime Ministers for future generations. Every Prime Minister, irrespective of political affiliation, has played a role in India’s nation-building journey and deserves recognition in the country’s historical record, he noted.

Paying rich tributes to P.V. Narasimha Rao, Subhash described him as the architect of India’s economic transformation, crediting his 1991 reforms with rescuing the nation from a severe balance-of-payments crisis and laying the foundation for sustained economic growth. “Rao’s visionary leadership, administrative acumen, scholarship and commitment to national interest transformed India’s economic trajectory and continue to inspire future generations”, he added.

Highlighting Rao’s ability to implement sweeping reforms while heading a minority government, Subhash termed his tenure a remarkable example of political statesmanship and consensus-building. Rao’s contributions received wider national recognition under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government and urged young Indians to study the former Prime Minister’s life through authentic historical records. “Many believe that despite dedicating his entire political life to the Congress, P.V. Narasimha Rao did not receive the respect he truly deserved from his own party. Ironically, it has been under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government that his immense contributions have received greater national recognition, transcending political differences”, he observed.

Describing Rao as a scholar, polyglot, prolific writer and committed nationalist, Subhash said his life offers enduring lessons in integrity, courage and public service. Pradhanamantri Sangrahalaya would function not merely as a library but as a living institution dedicated to preserving India’s democratic and political heritage, he noted.

PMML chairman Nirpender Mishra and Teen Murthy bhavan CEO Priyanka Mishra were present on the occasion.
