
Hyderabad, June 18 (RAHNUMA): During an event at Swami Ramananda Tirtha Memorial School in Begumpet on Thursday, BRS working president KT Rama Rao encouraged students to draw inspiration from the life and accomplishments of former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao, whom he described as an enduring role model.
KT Rama Rao distributed notebooks and school bags to students and inaugurated a mid-day meal programme being run by the Talasani Trust. He subsequently engaged with the students and shared lunch with them.
Speaking on the occasion, he highlighted PV Narasimha Rao’s academic prowess, noting that the former Prime Minister, fluent in 16 languages, left a significant and lasting impact on both India and the global stage. He implored the students to set ambitious goals and pursue excellence by emulating Narasimha Rao’s example.
The BRS working president also referenced educational initiatives from the previous BRS administration, including the Chief Minister’s breakfast scheme initiated by former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao, and various other programmes aimed at enhancing the education sector. He underscored the dual importance of high-quality education and adequate nutrition for students.
KTR pledged the school’s development would receive support, including the addition of new classrooms and a modern library.
Sanathnagar MLA and BRSLP deputy leader Talasani Srinivas Yadav stated that assisting students from underprivileged backgrounds is a societal obligation. He confirmed that the trust would persist in offering educational aid and maintaining the mid-day meal program.
MLC Surabhi Vani Devi emphasised the vital role of nutrition in a child’s holistic development and identified education as the most effective means to combat poverty. Reflecting on her father, PV Narasimha Rao’s dedication to education, she credited his vision with fostering the expansion of residential and Navodaya school systems across India.
